The Bangladesh Bank has experienced a technical glitch in its server, causing issues with interbank transaction settlements. As a result, all clearing checks settled on Monday (September 30) have been canceled.
On Tuesday (October 1), Hosne Ara Sikha, Executive Director and Spokesperson of the Bangladesh Bank, confirmed this information.
She stated that the technical error in the central bank's server led to problems with check clearing, preventing the processing of checks that were submitted on Monday.
Hosne Ara Sikha mentioned that the central bank's technical team is working to resolve the server issues and that a solution will be found soon.
An official from the central bank reported that the server error was detected at 9 PM on Monday. Despite attempts to resolve the issue until 2 AM, the problem persisted, leading to the cancellation of settlements for all checks processed on Monday.
