LPG Prices Unchanged For December

The new price of LPG at the consumer level has been announced. As with last month, the price of the product remains unchanged this month. In November, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was 1,455 BDT.

Today, Tuesday (December 3), the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced that the price would remain unchanged. The new price will take effect from 6:00 PM today, according to the commission.

BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed confirmed that the price of LPG would remain unchanged for the month of December.

Earlier, for the month of November, the price of a 12 kg cylinder was reduced by 1 BDT compared to October, bringing the price to 1,455 BDT. However, prices had been increased in October, September, August, and July. Prices were reduced in June, May, and April. Additionally, LPG prices were increased in March, February, and January.

Meanwhile, in November, BERC also reduced the price of autogas. The price of autogas at the consumer level, including VAT, was reduced by 3 poisha per liter, bringing it to 66.81 BDT. Prices had been increased in October, September, August, and July, but reduced in June, May, and April. The price of autogas was increased in March, February, and January.

In a statement sent to the media, BERC mentioned that for December, the announced Saudi CP prices for propane and butane from Saudi Aramco were 635 USD and 630 USD per metric ton, respectively. Based on a propane to butane ratio of 35:65, the average Saudi CP price per metric ton for propane and butane is 631.75 USD. This has been used to adjust the prices of private sector LPG and autogas for the consumer level in December.

It is worth noting that in 2023, the price of LPG and autogas was reduced five times and increased seven times. The prices were reduced in January, March, April, June, and July, while they increased in February, May, August, September, October, November, and December.
