33 DGMs Promoted To General Manager

A total of 33 Deputy General Managers of state-owned commercial banks, specialized banks, and financial institutions have been promoted to the position of General Manager.

This information was provided in a recent notification signed by Afroza Akter Riba, the Deputy Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance.

The notification states that the listed Deputy General Managers of state-owned commercial banks, specialized banks, and financial institutions have been promoted to the position of General Manager and assigned to the respective workplaces mentioned alongside their names.

The order, issued in the public interest, will be effective immediately. It also mentions that the recruitment, promotion, and posting of Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, and General Managers of state-owned commercial banks, specialized banks, and financial institutions will be governed and regulated by the "Management, Promotion, and Posting Policy for the Positions of Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, and General Manager of State-owned Commercial Banks, Specialized Banks, and Financial Institutions - 2013" (amended until October 16, 2024), along with policies or notifications issued by the government from time to time.
