Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said that the Dhaka International Trade Fair will expand the country's economic activities, create employment, and increase exports of Bangladeshi products abroad.
In a statement made on Tuesday in light of the upcoming Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2025, he said, "I am confident that this fair will significantly contribute to presenting domestic goods to international buyers, broadening product offerings, drawing in foreign investments, and fostering the overall advancement of the nation."
The Chief Adviser said, "I am very happy to know that like every year, the month-long 29th DITF-2025 is going to be held this year as well. On this occasion, I extend my greetings to the domestic and foreign industrial entrepreneurs, investors, businessmen and buyers participating in the fair."
He said that on the one hand, DITF is playing a helpful role in showcasing the products produced by domestic and foreign entrepreneurs to visitors, consumers, buyers and importers, and on the other hand, it is playing an effective role in gaining the ideas of local entrepreneurs through comparative analysis of foreign product standards, designs, fashion demands and competition.
The chief adviser said, "We all have to work shoulder to shoulder in the new Bangladesh, which was achieved through the sacrifices of countless martyrs in the anti-discrimination mass uprising of students, workers, and the public."
Calling on all countries and organizations participating in the fair to create mutually beneficial partnerships and work together towards prosperity, he wished the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2025 an overall success.
Apart from Bangladesh, a total of 11 business entities from seven countries -- India, Pakistan, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Malaysia -- are participating in this year's fair.
Apart from these, July Square on the south-east side of the exhibition center, cultural center, technology corner, recreation corner, children's park on the north-east (6 acres) side of the center and Chattrish Chattar on the north-west side and Namaz Ghar have already been set up.
