PhD Opportunity for Bangladeshi students in Malaysia

Putra Business School (PBS) has established collaboration with EduCan International in Bangladesh to support Bangladeshi academicians from tertiary levels institutions in achieving PhD from Malaysia.

Under the Collaboration, Bangladeshi students can now achieve phD degree from  University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) under the PBS-Educan program. 

The announcement was made at a joint network meet named “PBS Bangladesh Network Meet 2019” on Sunday in capital's BRAC Center Inn.

Prof Zulkornain Bin Yusop, President of Putra Business School, said, ''Malaysia has emerged as a popular international study destination during last decade. There are lots of commonalities between Bangladesh and Malaysia. By studying PhD with Putra Business School in Malaysia, Bangladeshi academicians should be able to bring back some of the technical know how to implement those in Bangladesh”.

Endorsing the strong commitment of Bangladeshi students who are currently studying PhD with PBS he said that partnership between PBS-EduCan has opened a new pathway for Bangladeshi academicians to pursue PhD.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Prof SMA Faiz, chaired this event. Appreciating the initiative, she said ''Steos taken by PBS and EduCan to support young Bangladeshi academicians will be great value addition into their professional career”.

Prof Harunur Rashid, the former Vice Chancellor of Presidency University, Shahin Reza, Managing Director of EduCan International, Dr Enamul Haque, Professor of East West University Dr Abu Bakar Bin Abdul Hamid, Professor of Putra Business School were among others present at the event.
