Green University Organizes Webinar 'Meet the Department'

Department of Journalism and Media Communication (JMC), Green University of Bangladesh has successfully organized a virtual session with the current students, alumni, University aspirants, their parents and guardians, faculty members and officials.

The program entitled "Meet the Department" was held on the 21st of September, 2020 at 3:00 pm through the Zoom platform.

We, the JMC family strongly believe in belongingness to have a victorious journey in the days ahead and the program "Meet the Department" took measures for such amenities.

Mr. Arshad Siddiqui, Planning Editor, Shampratik Deshkaal attended the program as the special guest and Media representative.

Our honorable Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences- Prof. Dr. Golam Ahhmed Faruaui, embellished the program attending as the Chief Guest. Dr, Md. Aliur Rahman, Chairperson of the department presided over the whole program.

Please have a brief narrative of the program by these points mentioned below:

The program started sharply at 3:00 pm with recitation from the holy Quran.

Dr. Afzal H. Khan, Assistant Professor Kept the welcome speech with the description of the department's journey from the beginning.

Then two of our current students and Alumni President placed their experiences and brotherly guideline to the aspirants.

Mr. Md. Mazharul Islam, Director, Admission Section discussed the admission qualifications for the aspirants and the admission process with a PowerPoint presentation which depicted clear guidelines of the admission process

Mr. Md. Sharif Uddin, Lecturer and Program Coordinator of the department briefly discussed on JMC Lab and other relevant facilities students are going to enjoy in JMC

Ms. Monira Shormin, Senior Lecturer and Mentor Moderator introduced the mentorship program of GUB along with its advantages

Mr. Ashraf Siddiqui, Planning editor, Shhampratik Deshkal kept the speech of Special Guest of the program

Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, honorable Dean, Faculty of Social Science radiated the program with his hearty speech.

Dr. Md. Aliur Rahman, Chairperson of the department thanked to all the participants and the organizers on their cooperation for this successful arrangement

Ms. Jakia Jahan Mukta, Lecturer hosted the entire program and adverted e-learning initiatives of GUB.
