Private Schools, Colleges Can Only Charge Tuition

Private schools and colleges of the country can only charge tuition fees from the students amid the coronavirus or COVID-19.

Except for tuition, the authorities of private institutions cannot receive tiffin, re-admission, library charges, laboratory, magazine, development and assignment related fees from the students.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (DSHE) published a notification in this connection on Wednesday.

The country's academic institutions have been shut since March 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Confusion has arisen among the guardians and school authorities regarding the tuition of the students in different institutions. Considering this issue, the government has set guidelines.

There is an instruction that if any institution charge fees other than tuition will refund their students or will adjust for convenience.
