27 Important DPE Instructions for Primary School Concerned

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has given 27-point instructions to the primary school concerned.

The directive was issued on Wednesday (November 3).

These instructions were given to the school concerned after inspecting and monitoring the infrastructure of primary schools and classrooms in different departments, districts and upazilas across the country.

Here's the DPE's guidelines for the Shampratik Deshkal readers:

  1. Legal disposal of old infrastructure in PTI, field-level offices and school premises in terms of infrastructure and various constructions.
  2. To dispose of old goods and vehicles stored in the warehouse legally.
  3. To complete the use and disposal of old furniture legally.
  4. To maintain and update inventory register for maintenance of the movable and immovable property.
  5. To pay land development tax on government land on time.
  6. To determine the demand for the construction of classrooms appropriately; Real-time monitoring of construction work and maintenance at the end of construction implementation.
  7. To formulate and implement the scope of work smoothly by the field level officials to assist in the supervision and maintenance of the infrastructure and construction work.
  8. To formulate a specific action plan for the effective implementation of online teaching activities.
  9. To ensure the participation of students in the direct teaching activities conducted in the classroom.
  10. To formulate action plan to ensure proper arrangement of SRM.
  11. Proper use of teaching-learning materials including blackboards, whiteboards and smartboards.
  12. To inform all the field level officers and head teachers about the development activities and implementation strategies online and to involve them in the implementation in time.
  13. To ensure appointment and transfer of teachers in each school according to the teacher-student ratio.
  14. To take action on an urgent basis by preparing a list of vacancies and non-working places of work.
  15. To ensure the lawful and effective use of project-based books from 1st to 5th class provided by NCTB in consultation with NCTB.
  16. To adopt a practical action plan to prevent student dropout rate.
  17. To implement all the developmental activities under the project as per rules.
  18. To ensure the use and management of hostels located in the hill districts.
  19. To adopt specific plan of NCTB, DPE and NEP for providing primary curriculum training.
  20. To take measures of online-offline monitoring and evaluation by DPE round the clock on the progress of primary curriculum expansion and implementation plan.
  21. To make arrangements for simultaneous preparation and distribution of textbooks and teacher editions and teacher aids.
  22. To take steps for the systematic approval of the teaching-learning method mentioned in the Teacher's Guidelines by the appropriate authority.
  23. To take practical steps to make the practical aspects of the teaching-learning techniques mentioned in the Teacher's Guide more effective.
  24. To make the translation of textbooks from Bengali to English easier and more understandable.
  25. To coordinate the live teaching and online teaching activities in the classroom as per the accelerated remedial learning plan.
  26. To increase the coverage of teaching through education channels and community radio, respectively, in fruitful discussions with the Director-General of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
  27. To discuss and implement the results with the Director-General of the Disaster Management Department in order to standardize and regularize the use and maintenance of the School-cum-Cyclone Center.
