The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have
postponed viva-voce of the candidates from the Freedom Fighters' quota for the
honours first year under 2020-21 academic session.
The viva-voce was scheduled to be held on January 11 and 12.
A press release signed by JU Deputy Registrar (PRO) Mostofa Kamal confirmed the news today.
The decision to postpone the viva-voce has been taken to contain the spread of Covid-19, said the release.
"Observing the pandemic situation, the university authorities will reschedule the date and it will be notified in the national dailies and the university website," the release read.
Details about the viva-voce is available on the university's official website https://juniv-admission.org/.
Earlier, on Thursday, the university authorities suspended in-person classes considering the Covid-19 situation across the country.
