‘90 Batch Alumni of DU Philosophy Dept: President Farid, Secretary Palash

The first executive committee (2022-23) of the '90 Batch Alumni Association 'of the Department of Philosophy, Dhaka University has been formed. A 33-member executive committee was formed with Sheikh Faridul Islam as president and Eliash Uddin Palash as general secretary.

The committee was announced at the first reunion of the day-long organization held at the Biswasahitya Kendra auditorium at Banglamotor in Dhaka on Friday (January 14).

Vice-Presidents of the Committee-Khandaker Abdul Alim, Shaswati Roy, Principal Abdul Malek Mia, Saleha Khatun Snigdha, Principal Md. Zahir Uddin.

Saiful Islam, Jiban Krishna Modak and Shaheenur Alom have been elected as joint general secretaries.

CGM Asaduzzaman Milon has been elected as Treasurer and Shahana Ruma as Co-Treasurer. Organizing Secretary is Sharif Ahmed Chowdhury Sohel, Office Secretary- Afroza Begum Bappi, Assistant Office Secretary is Mostafizur Rahman Farid, Literature and Publication Secretary- Saifur Rahman, Education and Scholarship Secretary- M Gias Uddin, Sports and Cultural Secretary- Khandaker Ismail, Welfare Secretary- Shofiqul Akter.

Besides, the executive members are: Nikhil Chandra Das, Md. Abdul Quddus, Layla Karim Minu, Alamgir Alam, Md. Kowsar Ali, Shakhawat Khan Lavlu, Afrin Begum Beauty, Dilshad Mili, Matiur Rahman Bhuiyan Ratan, Helma Mahmuda Iti, Muhammad Nazmul Haque, Delwara Yasmin, Umm Hasina Ruma, Farida Sultana Lipi.

Among the various events of the day were reminisces, cultural programs and raffle draws. Crests were given to classmate-couples at the ceremony. Alumni of 90 batches of philosophy department of Dhaka University from all over the country participated in this reunion.
