The Eid-ul-Azha
holidays have been combined with the summer vacation of government primary schools
in the country. As a result, the primary schools will be closed for a total of
19 days from June 28 to July 16.
Manish Chakma,
director of the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), confirmed the
information on Thursday (April 21). Earlier, an office order was issued in a
directive signed by Manish Chakma on Wednesday.
According to the
office order, summer vacation was scheduled from May 16 to May 23 on the list
of holidays for government primary schools in 2022. In order to facilitate the
teachers' leisure, the summer vacation has been fixed from 28th May to 5th July
instead of 16th to 23rd May.
The office order
further said that direct teaching activities in schools will be closed from
June 28 to July 5 for summer vacation and from July 6 to 16 on the occasion of
Eid-ul-Azha and Asadhi full moon.
