The Chittagong Education Board authorities have decided to shut the SSC examination centre of Ghumdhum High School in Naikhongchari of Bandarban due to border situation.
The center has been shifted to Kutupalong Examination Centre in Ukhiya of Cox's Bazar. The number of candidates in this center is 499.
The exam will be held at Kutupalong High School in Ukhia from Saturday (September 17) instead of Ghumdhum High School Centre. Chittagong Education Board took the decision immediately at around 11:45pm on Friday (September 16).
Naikhongchari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Salma Ferdous confirmed the matter.
She said that the examination center has been shifted due to fear. This decision has been taken considering the mental state of the candidates.
Confirming the matter, Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasin Parvez Tirmiji said the decision has been taken so that candidates are not affected.
