Heavy early morning rains under the influence of monsoon caused significant hardships for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinees across the country including Dhaka and Chattogram.
The downpour led to a thin presence of public transport on the streets, making it particularly difficult for examinees and their guardians to reach their destinations.
The Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has issued urgent instructions on what to do if the center's examination starts late due to rain.
These instructions were given in the emergency notification signed by Dhaka Education Board's examination controller Professor Md.Abul Bashar on Sunday.
According to the instructions, Meteorological Department forcasts, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the next few days. If there is rain on the examination days, the main gate of the center should be opened before the specified time to allow the candidates to enter the center.
It is also said that if there is a delay of half an hour or an hour in starting the examination of a center due to unavoidable reasons, it is requested to take necessary measures to complete the examination by adjusting the time of that half hour or one hour considering the emergency situation.
