DU Classes To Resume On September 22

Classes at Dhaka University (DU) will start on September 22. However, first-year classes will commence on September 30.

On Thursday evening, an emergency meeting of the university's highest policy-making body, the Syndicate, was held at the lounge adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor's office.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan chaired the meeting.

Based on recommendations from the Deans' Committee, the meeting decided that classes for all years except the first year will start from September 22.

Additionally, first-year undergraduate classes for the 2023-24 academic year will begin on September 30.

The meeting also discussed ongoing proposals for improving interpersonal relationships and resolving conflicts among faculty and students at the departmental, institute, faculty, and central levels.

The Syndicate members fully supported these initiatives.
