The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for this year at Bangladesh Open University (BOU) have been canceled. The results will be published through subject mapping, as per the directives of the Ministry of Education, the university authorities have announced.
On Monday (September 30), the information was shared in a notice signed by the acting Controller of Examinations, Mohammad Habibullah Mahmud.
Regarding this, the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam, stated that the results of the first phase of the open university's HSC examinations have already been prepared. Therefore, there will be no issues in publishing the results based on the first part.
The notice signed by the acting Controller of Examinations, Mohammad Habibullah Mahmud, stated that the HSC examinations for 2024 at Bangladesh Open University have been canceled due to unavoidable circumstances. Additionally, a decision has been made to process the results through subject mapping. The date for the result announcement will be communicated later.
On Tuesday (October 1), Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam mentioned that such a decision from the ministry had been anticipated. However, the previous administration of the university could not convey this information. Now, there is no opportunity to conduct the exams again, and the results will be published in accordance with the ministry's directives.
