Office Staff, Students Clash At Dhaka Education Board Office

A group of college students on Sunday allegedly came under attack from office employees and officers when demonstrating inside the Dhaka Education Board office demanding reassessment of their HSC results.

The students stormed into the office premises by breaking locks of the main gate, and also vandalised office furniture. Office staff and the local police officials claimed the education board employees tried to protect valuable documents from agitating students, leading to scuffles and injuries to some students.

As of 4.30pm, the students were still occupying the office premises, demanding justice for attacks on them and redressal of the wrongs done to their HSC results. Police and army personnel were on the scene to ease tensions.
