40th BCS Viva Voce Likely in Mid-Sept

The viva voce of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) is likely to be held in mid-September.

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has already taken all preparations to hold this examination.

The examination was supposed to begin on February 16, but it was delayed due to Covid-19 situation.  

An officer of the PSC, wishing not to be named, said,  “The 40th BCS viva voce may begin in the mid-September. The PSC has taken necessary preparations in this connection. Hope, the schedule will be announced officially soon.”

The PSC published 40th BCS circular on September 11, 2018. A total of 4 lakh 12 thousand 532 candidates applied for the preliminary test. Of them, 3 lakh 27 thousand appeared in the test. Some 20 thousand 277 candidates came out successful in the preliminary test. In the written test, 10 thousand 964 candidates got success.    

Mentionable, a total of 1,903 candidates will be recruited through this 40th BCS examination.
