Age Exemption To Be Granted for Bank Job-Seekers

Bangladesh Bank directed to publish recruitment notice with easing age bar in the job circular of the banks. As a result, job seekers whose age became 30 within this covid-19 period will get 21 months' ease.

In the light of the directives of the Ministry of Public Administration, a circular was issued on Thursday (November 25) to the Managing Directors (MDs) and CEOs of all scheduled banks operating in the country.

According to the notification, the banks which could not publish the notification for direct recruitment due to the Covid-19 situation, have been directed to take necessary steps by setting the maximum age limit of the candidates till March 25, 2020.

Bangladesh Bank also said that the directive will be effective immediately.

Due to the outbreak of the epidemic coronavirus, the recruitment process in all types of workplaces in Bangladesh was closed like in the rest of the world. The job seekers have suffered in this. Considering the issue, the Ministry of Public Administration decided to give age exemption.
