The written examination for the 46th BCS, originally scheduled for August 28, has been postponed. The Public Service Commission (PSC) officially announced the suspension of the exam through a press release on Sunday, August 25. The new date for the examination will be announced later.
Previously, it was communicated that the 46th BCS written exam would start on August 28 and continue until September 9. The exam was planned to take place at various centers across Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. Details regarding examination halls, seat arrangements, and other instructions will be provided on the PSC website in due course.
A total of 10,638 candidates who passed the 46th BCS preliminary examination are set to take part in the written test. Of the 3,140 posts available in this BCS, the majority will be in the health cadre, with 1,682 assistant surgeons and 16 assistant dental surgeons to be recruited. Following the health cadre, the next largest group will be from the education cadre, with 520 positions available for BCS education in various subjects.
