Applications For 47th BCS Begin Today

The application for the 47th BCS will start from 10 am today, Sunday. Candidates can apply until 11:59 pm on January 30.

This year’s application process comes with significant changes. According to PSC sources, starting with the 47th BCS, both the application fee and the marks allocated for the viva voce (oral examination) have been reduced.

The viva marks have been cut from 200 to 100, while the application fee has been reduced from Tk700 to Tk200. For candidates belonging to ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and those identifying as the third gender, the application fee has been set at Tk50.

The new notification was issued by the PSC last Thursday. As per the notification, applications for this BCS will begin on December 29 and continue until 30 January next year.

For the first time, the age limit for applicants has been extended to 32 years.

Earlier, the application for this BCS was supposed to start on December 9, but the PSC suspended the acceptance of applications for the 47th BCS due to the non-issuance of the notification to reduce the application fee for government jobs.

In the 47th BCS, 3,487 people will be appointed to cadre and 201 people to non-cadre posts. The highest number of vacancies is in the health cadre. In this cadre, 1,331 vacancies will be appointed in the post of assistant surgeon and 30 vacancies will be appointed in the post of assistant dental surgeon.
