Indian Idol 11 Winner Sunny Hindustani

Indian Idol 11 has finally come to an end after more than three months of non-stop excitement and amazing performances. The series finds its champion in Sunny Hindustani, from Bhatinda. The youngster has bagged the Indian Idol 11 trophy and a Rs 25 lakh cash prize. He also bagged chances of singing in the next T-series season.

Ankona Mukherjee, Adriz Ghosh, Ridham Kalyan, and Rohit Raut were pitted against four finalists. Sunny, who sang a medley of songs like Bhar Do Jholi Meri, Halka Halka Suroor won praises from Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta who were the special guests on the final night. Rohit and Sunny were in the top two, and Ankona Mukherjee emerged as the second runner-up and she was given a Rs 5 lakh cash prize. Only Ridham and Adriz were fourth and fifth respectively and each received Rs 3 lakh.

After he reached the audition stage, Sunny has been among the most debated contestants ever. His speech is much like those of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He left the three judges Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar and Anu Malik (who had to step down because of Me Too accusations) impressed by the moment he arrived for the auditions. He has become an instant hit and since then everyone's favorite. He is also called a' Rooh' (soul) by Nusrat Sahib. The actor Kunal Kemmu was so impressed by Sunny's singing in one of the episodes that he gifted him the locket of Lord Lakshmi. Not only Kunal, but Ajay Devgn and Kajol's wife were fascinated with Sunny's singing and were thanking him.

The fiale night also had performances from Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh.

This season was in the news because of Neha Kakkar and host Aditya Narayan's wedding gimmick.
