A criminal complaint was filed in a court here on Wednesday, accusing Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali of betting the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The complaint was lodged by Sudhir Kumar Ojha, a lawyer from here, before Chief Judicial Magistrate Mukesh Kumar. Sources said it might come to the hearing in due course.

A couple of other actors have also been named co-accused in the case.

Rajput 's father K K Singh and actress Kangana Ranaut, who came out with an angry statement after his death blaming his suicide for rampant nepotism and favoritism in the film industry, has been named as witnesses.

Ojha, a serial litigant who remains in the news for filing complaints against film personalities, politicians and foreign heads of state, few of which go beyond the admission stage, invoked sections 306, 109, 504 and 506 of the IPC.

The demise of Patna-born Rajput, at a young age of 34, sparked a wave of grief across Bihar.

Youngsters who were motivated by Rajput's excellent academic path, accompanied by TV and film achievements, have also been shattered. A 17-year-old girl ended her life in Rajendra Nagar, Patna, on Tuesday.

According to Nishikant Nishi, a Kadamkuan police station SHO, the girl hung herself from the roof of her house.

In her statement to the police, the bereaved mother said that the deceased had been depressed after doing a bad job in her board examinations and after hearing about Rajput, who was her favorite actor.

She kept watching the news incessantly and took an extreme step while she was at home alone, the mother told the police.
