Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Blessed with a Baby Girl

India skipper Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actor wife Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl on Monday.

Kohli, who is on paternity leave, took to Twitter to share the news.

"We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon," Virat wrote on his social media handle.

"We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat," he added.

The couple had announced last year in August that they were expecting their first child in January 2021.

They got married in a fairytale wedding on December 11 in 2017 in Italy.

As soon as the news was announced, wishes poured in for the couple.
