Actor
Arifin Shuvoo, who plays Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the biopic, said
that the "official" trailer for acclaimed Indian director Shyam
Benegal's "Mujib: The Making of A Nation" would be released soon.
On May
19, the film's first trailer was unveiled in the Marché du Film Commercial
Branch of the Indian pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.
When
asked about the trailer's negative response on social media, Shuvoo responded,
"Just to be clear, this is not the official trailer. It was made just for
the Cannes Film Festival. The film's post-production is still in progress. That
means the dish is still being prepared. So, until the video is released, you
won't know what kind of cuisine was prepared."
"Cannes'
trailer was created in under 13 days. Visual effects work is still ongoing,
among other things "he explained to Voice of America (Bangla). The
official trailer will be released in a few days, according to Shuvoo. He also
stated that the flaws that the audience pointed out will be addressed once the
film is complete.
Many
criticized Shuvoo's voice and make-up for the character of Bangabandhu, as well
as the usage of visual effects, particularly in a sequence with warplanes,
after the preliminary teaser was released at the Cannes Film Festival.
