For the past few days, the midday sun has been making a stronger appearance, and the fog has been somewhat reduced. The intense cold experienced over the past four days has lessened, at least during the day. However, the cold wind has not eased much after the evening.
On Friday, a cold wave swept through 10 districts in the country, and a biting cold wind was present in most parts of the country, including the capital. Mild to moderate cold waves are expected to continue for the next 24 hours. During this period, the temperature during both the day and night may rise slightly.
This information was provided in the weather forecast this Saturday morning (January 11).
According to the forecast, today, Saturday, the cold wind may remain intense in various parts of the country. A cold wave could also continue in those 10 districts and other areas. Overall, the temperature may decrease slightly, while the sun's intensity could increase.
The forecast also mentions that although the temperature may be slightly lower today, the cold will still be strong. Fog may increase in the morning and night, making the cold feel even stronger, despite some sunshine. Due to the fog, land, sea, and air travel could be disrupted this afternoon.
Zebunnesa, a meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, told Prothom Alo that cold waves will continue in various regions today, but temperatures are expected to rise starting tomorrow, Sunday. As a result, the cold weather may lessen over the next few days.
