Both
coronavirus cases and deaths have increased in the country, as a result,
lockdowns have imposed in the districts at risk of infection and deaths.
A plan has already been taken to impose “countrywide lockdown”, said Dr. Robed
Amin, spokesperson and line director of Directorate General of Health Services
(DGHS).
Dr.
Robed Amin, in a routine COVID bulletin issued by the DGHS on Wednesday, stated
that there will be no lockdown in the country at this time. “However, if the
situation is critical and the rate of infection in each district exceeds 20%, a
decision would be made.”
He
further said that the DGHS is actively monitoring the infection status in seven
Dhaka adjacent districts.
Dr.
Robed Amin stated, "If we can't control them and the situation in Dhaka is
precarious, Dhaka would be placed under lockdown."
