256 More Dengue Patients Admitted to Hospitals || Photo: Collected
Another
patient died of dengue fever, while 256 others were admitted to hospitals
across Bangladesh on Wednesday.
According
to a news release from the Directorate General of Health Services' Health
Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room, 212 of the hospitalized people in
the timeline were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 44 in other parts of the country.
According
to the latest numbers, 12,690 dengue patients have been hospitalized in
Bangladesh since January 2021, with 53 individuals dying from the
mosquito-borne viral disease during that time.
According
to the DGHS announcement, the deceased were between the ages of 21 and 30.
Since
January 2021, 49 individuals have died from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease in
Bangladesh's capital city, two in Chattogram division, and one each in Rajshahi
and Khulna divisions.
According
to the DGHS, twelve of them died in July, 34 in August, and seven in September.
Since
January, 11,440 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the capital,
accounting for 90.14 percent of all admitted patients.
In
Bangladesh, 2,334 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in just eight days
in September.
In
August, hospitals across the country admitted 7,698 patients.
In
July, there were 2,286 hospitalized cases, bringing the total for the six
months from January to June to 372.
On
Wednesday, 1,242 dengue patients were being treated in hospitals, with 1,088 of
them in the capital.
According
to the DGHS, 11,395 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals and
returned home.
