COVID Cases Show Signs of Slowing, Even as Deaths Surge Again

Bangladesh has reported 24 coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 27,555.

During the same time span, 589 additional instances were reported. The overall number of infections in the country now stands at 15,57,347.

On Saturday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued a press release announcing the development (October 2).

In addition, 741 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, increasing the overall number of recoveries to 15,17,642, according to the announcement.
