Germany has sent back to
Bangladesh a group of Bangladeshi migrants whose asylum applications were
rejected. They were sent back last Tuesday (January 18). This is the second
such incident in the last two and a half months.
Three sources have confirmed this
information about the repatriation of Bangladeshis to InfoMigrants.
The flight carrying them landed
in Dhaka on Tuesday night, Bangladesh time. According to a source, the
33-member group included four deportees from Austria and three from Romania, in
addition to Germany.
According to an intelligence
source in Dhaka, about 100 German police personnel were on the flight to ensure
safety and to ensure the proper arrival of the migrants in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh's
ambassador to Berlin Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan recently said that travel
permits have been issued to 50 to 60 Bangladeshis whose asylum applications
have been rejected.
