Clash between Dk College Students And New Market Traders in Photos

(The students of Dhaka College have been clashing with the businessmen of New Market in the capital and chasing each other.)

(The clashes started around 12 midnight on Monday. Large numbers of police have been deployed in the New Market area to prevent clashes.)

(Police are trying to control the situation by taking a position between the two sides. Police also fired tear gas shells. Traffic on the Mirpur road in the area was blocked during the clashes.)

(Several students of Dhaka College have said that one of their classmates was attacked by businessmen in New Market. In protest, hundreds of students from the residential hall of Dhaka College came out of the hall with sticks and local weapons and went to New Market.)

(During this time some shops in New Market were vandalized. Besides, some traders were also beaten. The two sides clashed when the traders of New Market came out with sticks.)
