People to Rebound in Life’s Struggle by Strength of Sacrifice: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today expressed his hope that the power of sacrifice in the Holy Eid-ul-Azha will be a strong resolve to turn around the people's struggle for life.

"The expectation on this holy Eid-ul-Azha is that the power of commitment will become a strong resolve to turn around in the plight of people's lives," he told a virtual press conference from his official residence in Parliament.

Greeting the people on the occasion of Eid, Quader, also Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, said Prime Minister Sheik Hasina's government was taking all-out measures to place a smile on people's faces.

Seeking for the Prime Minister 's prayer for her sound safety, he said, "I am calling for a doa from the people for Bangabandhu 's daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as she has sound health to lead the nation to prosperity."

The Minister urged people residing in their rural homes or in cities to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha to stay vigilant at the highest level in upholding safety recommendations to strictly track the transmission of the deadly coronavirus (Covid-19).

He recalled with glowing tributes the frontline fighters who passed away in providing services to people and extended gratitude to those who are still staying far away from their families to serve the people round the clock taking their services as motto.

The road transport minister also expressed sorrow for those home goers who had to fall into sufferings on Dhaka-Tangail highways.
