Khaleda Not Getting Treatment in Hospital: Zafrullah

Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder trustee Zafrullah Chowdhury on Friday demanded the release of Bangladesh Nationalist Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia saying that she was not getting proper treatment at Evercare Hospital. 

Zafrullah made this remark at a programme organised to distribute food in different places of Dhaka on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

“Khaleda Zia is not getting treatment. Her physical condition is very bad. The release is her only treatment. After release it is her choice where she will take treatment,” Zafrullah said.

“One cannot get cured without mental strength. That is why I urge for her release alongside students. We have to regret if anything happens to her,” he said.

Khaleda was admitted to the Evercare Hospital on the night of April 27 for diagnosis after being tested positive for Covid-19. She was tested Covid positive first on April 11.
