The BNP has denounced the law minister Anisul Huq's remarks in parliament that former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia should seek a presidential pardon for her treatment abroad.
Syed Emran Saleh Prince, the party's organizing secretary and current in-charge of the office, said the law minister's remarks were nothing but an expression of the government's political vengeance and a failed attempt to control and corrupt politics.
There is no question of apologizing to someone who has not committed a crime.
This statement of the law minister is a
reflection of the nefarious political motives of the fascist government, which
is nothing but depravity.
He made the remarks at a press conference at the BNP's central office
in Naya Paltan on Thursday (July 1).
