The High Court
has granted anticipatory bail to BNP convener Aman Ullah Aman, convener Abdus
Salam and other BNP leaders and activists.
They have been asked to
surrender to the Dhaka District Judge's Court after September 26.
Former National
Footballer Aminul Haque, Member Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North, Rafiqul
Alam Majnu, Member Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan and BNP leader Tabith Awal
are also among those granted bail.
The High Court bench
headed by Justice Habibul Gani passed the order on Wednesday (August 25th).
Supreme Court Bar Secretary Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal and Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon appeared for the BNP leaders and activists in the court.
A case was filed in the capital's Chandrima Udyan incident on August 16 after police clashed with BNP leaders and activists. 155 BNP leaders and activists were accused in the case filed by the police.
