BNP's 43rd Founding Anniversary Today

Today is September 1, the 43rd founding anniversary of the BNP. On September 1, 1978, former President Ziaur Rahman formed the BNP with the aim of establishing a just society based on Bangladeshi nationalism and multi-party democracy, and fundamental rights.

On the occasion of the founding anniversary of the party, acting chairman Tarique Rahman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir greeted the leaders and workers. Besides, LDP president Oli Ahmed gave a statement expressing his best wishes.

The party has taken various programs on this occasion. The program includes hoisting party flags at BNP's central office in Naya Paltan at 8 am and members of the party's standing committee at 11 am at the grave of BNP founding chairman and former president Ziaur Rahman. In the afternoon, Fateha recitation and wreath-laying will be held at the grave of Ziaur Rahman by the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP and central organs and allied organizations.

Syed Emran Saleh Chowdhury Prince, acting organizing secretary of the party's office, said a discussion meeting would be held on the occasion of the founding anniversary, support for health camps and corona patients, posters would be published across the country and supplements would be published. On the occasion of the 43rd founding anniversary of the BNP, instructions have been given to observe the day with due dignity through discussion programs and other programs across the country.

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir gave speeches on the occasion of the party's founding anniversary.

In the message, Mirza Fakhrul said, "The nationalist party-BNP is working tirelessly for the development of the country and the people and for establishing friendly and amicable relations with all the countries of the world on the basis of equality." On this great day of the 43rd founding anniversary of the BNP, I urge the leaders and workers of all levels of the party to be ready to work wholeheartedly to make the party more dynamic. There is no alternative to organizing the people in the current difficult times.

Expressing deep respect to party chairperson Khaleda Zia, the BNP secretary-general said, "She was unjustly imprisoned for 25 months with a mandatory verdict in a conspiracy case against Begum Khaleda Zia." He is still a prisoner under various conditions.
