Rangpur Incident Is due to Propaganda of Facebook: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the incident in Rangpur happened due to the propaganda of Facebook. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is keeping a close watch on the situation.

He also alleged that communal attacks were being carried out across the country at the behest of the BNP to destroy democracy in the country.

He said this after paying homage to the Prime Minister and Awami League at Banani Cemetery on Monday (October 18) on the 58th birthday of Bangabandhu's youngest son Sheikh Russell.

Quader said there have been no untoward incidents in the last 12 years. This time the attack was carried out in a planned manner. At that time, he instructed the leaders and workers to stop the communal violence.

He further said that the incident of arson at Jelepalli in Pirganj of Rangpur on Sunday night is one example of this. The BNP has been involved in such a conspiracy to destroy communalism recently. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always keeping an eye on these issues.

The ruling party Awami League is celebrating Sheikh Russell Day for the first time in the country. The central leaders of the party led by Quader first paid their respects. Afterwards, the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Committee of the Awami League and its affiliates paid their respects.
