Khaleda Zia's Health Deteriorates, Coco's Wife in Dhaka

BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital, is not in good health. Sharmila Rahman Sithi, the wife of her youngest son late Arafat Rahman Coco, has come to Dhaka from the UK to see her.

This information has been known from the relevant responsible sources. However, no one from the concerned doctors, family and team is saying anything in this regard.

According to the relevant sources, Khaleda Zia's physical condition is not good. In addition to old health problems, her body has symptoms of a new complex disease.

Asked about this, Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the chairperson's press wing, said, "I don't know anything about it."

Meanwhile, a press conference has been called at the chairperson's office in Gulshan at 4pm on Monday (October 25) to inform about Khaleda Zia's physical condition. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will brief the media on the health of the party chairperson.

A source confirmed that Sharmila Rahman went to Evercare Hospital to see her mother-in-law, Khaleda Zia, after landing at Dhaka Airport on Sunday night (October 24). According to another source, she went to Khaleda Zia's house in Gulshan from the hospital.

Khaleda Zia's elder sister Selima Islam said that she had seen in the newspaper that Coco's wife Sharmila Rahman had come to Dhaka. She has not been contacted or talked to so far.

She says this afternoon, “her (Khaleda Zia) condition is not good. Fever comes frequently, kidney problems, sugar is not coming under control. There are many more complications. That is why we have repeatedly told the government to send him abroad. But the government is not agreeing to anything. The complication of which is that treatment here is not possible, She has to be taken abroad.”

On October 12, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital for treatment due to fever. She is currently being treated at Evercare Hospital. Earlier, she was admitted to the same hospital for 54 consecutive days due to various diseases including coronavirus.
