BNP
secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the government is a
pickpocketing government. Twice in a row, the government has cut people's
pockets; once raising the price of diesel oil, the second time raising bus
fares.
The
BNP secretary general said this at a human chain organized in front of the
National Press Club on Monday (November 8) at 12:15 pm.
Mirza
Fakhrul further said that the character of the government is to loot. They are
cutting people's pockets, on the other hand, they are making their own pockets
heavier. They don't care about the people. They do not pay attention to the
fact that human poverty is increasing every day.
"People
are not able to vote in the Union Parishad elections," he said, adding
that the UP elections were being held today. The Awami League fights on its
own. People do not go to the polls to vote, they are voting themselves.
He
said the people of this country need to be awakened. As long as this government
exists, the suffering of the people will increase. So the people must unite.
Meanwhile,
the BNP leader called for demonstrations in the country's metropolitan areas on
November 10 and in the districts of the country on November 12 to protest
against the increase in fuel and bus-launch fares.
