BNP's 48 Hour Blockade From Wednesday

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday (November 14) announced the fifth spell of a 48-hour blockade across the country, beginning from 6:00am on Wednesday. The blockade will end at 6:00am on Friday.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the fresh 48-hour blockade (Wednesday 6:00am to Friday 6:00am) at a virtual press conference.

He said that other parties and alliances of the ongoing simultaneous movement demanding the resignation of the Awami League government would also observe the blockade programme like past spalls.

The Ganatantra Mancha, at a rally in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka Monday afternoon, announced a fresh 48-hour blockade across Bangladesh from Wednesday, said a press release.

The parties and alliances, including the Jamaat-e-Islami, Liberal Democratic Party, Ganatantra Mancha, Gono Odhiker Parishad, and Amar Bangladesh Party, are observing the blockade programme.
