Those Rehabilitating Hasina Are Also Allies Of The Fascists: Sarjis

Sarjis Alam, the general secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, stated that those who talk about rehabilitating the war criminals, including Hasina and her associates, in politics instead of demanding justice for the atrocities committed during the July movement, are also accomplices of the fascists. He emphasized that they will not stop until the killers are brought to justice.

He made this statement on Saturday, November 23, while distributing aid checks to the families of martyrs from the July-August movement at the Barisal Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Sarjis said, "What answer do we give to a newborn who lost their father before even being born? We easily forget everything—the torture over 16 years, the disappearances, the murders, and the killings. But this time, the student community of this country will not forget. We will return home with justice for all the murders. No fascist will be allowed to hold power again."

During the event, checks of 500,000 BDT each were distributed to the families of 79 martyrs out of the 314 martyred in the Barisal division. Many martyr families have registered in Dhaka, and assistance will be provided to all martyr families gradually, according to the organizers of the July Shaheed Foundation.

The event was attended by Barisal's Deputy Commissioner Delwar Hossain and Civil Surgeon Maria Hasan.
