Its Not Possible To Join Polls Amid A Chaotic Environment: Manna

Nagorik Oikko president Mahmudur Rahman Manna said it’s not possible to join elections if there’s chaotic environment.

Regarding ISKCON, he said, “Is ISKCON an organization? Does it have approval? What is the point of banning something that does not have approval?”

He said this at a discussion titled 'New Bangladesh: How Bangladesh is progressing and citizen’s expectations' on Thursday. The discussion was organized by Professor K. Ali Foundation at the Maulana Akram Khan Hall of the National Press Club in the capital.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna also said that until the police are fixed, law and order situation will not return to normalcy.

It is not possible to go to the polls in a chaotic environment, he added.

He said, “Awami League has done so much misdeeds that it will not get relief even if it takes refuge in India. If the commander-in-chief of Myanmar is summoned to the international court on charges of repression, Sheikh Hasina will also be summoned. Sheikh Hasina has killed no fewer people than him.”

Political analyst Professor Abul Latif Masum and many others were present at the discussion, chaired by Professor Sheikh Akram Ali.
