Khaleda Zia Arrives In London

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has arrived in London. She arrived at London's Heathrow Airport after 3 pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday.

A personal doctor of Khaleda Zia confirmed the matter.

After monitoring her physical condition at the airport, Khaleda Zia will be admitted to a London hospital, where doctors will conduct necessary tests before determining the next course of action.  An ambulance has been kept ready for this.

Khaleda left Dhaka at 11:45 pm on a special care flight arranged by the Emir of Qatar. The flight will follow the Dhaka-Doha-London route.

Bangladesh's Ambassador to Qatar Nazrul Islam met and inquired about the Chairperson's physical condition.

Earlier, leaders and activists started gathering in Gulshan in groups in the afternoon surrounding Khaleda's London trip. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir entered Khaleda Zia's residence after the evening.

People from different walks of life, including BNP leaders and activists, gathered on both sides of the road to the airport, including Gulshan, to bid farewell to Khaleda Zia.

Khaleda Zia will meet her son Tarique Rahman after seven and a half years at London's Heathrow Airport. 15 people, including doctors, have accompanied Khaleda Zia on this trip. Among them is Sinthi Rahman, the wife of the late Arafat Rahman Koko.
