After Seven Years, Khaleda-Tarique Reunite

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia arrived at London's Heathrow Airport this morning (January 8) local time, where she reunited with her son Tarique Rahman after nearly seven years.

Her last visit to London was on July 15, 2017. Since then, she neither traveled abroad nor met her son directly.

The air ambulance carrying the former prime minister arrived in London approximately three hours later than the scheduled time.

At the airport, she was warmly welcomed by her son and BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman, daughter-in-law Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and other members of the third generation of the Zia family.

Leaders from the UK BNP, including President MA Malek, General Secretary Qaysar Ahmed, and Kamal Uddin, were present to welcome Khaleda Zia on behalf of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, UK BNP President MA Malek said, "Doctors and family members have left for the hospital with Madam."

The visit marks a significant reunion for the BNP Chairperson and her family.
