Jamaat Amir Calls For Inclusion Of Expatriates In Voter List

Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has emphasized the need to include the youth and expatriates in the voter list.

He made this statement on Thursday night (January 9) local time at a gathering held at Salua Sea Side in Kuwait. The event was organized by the Bangladesh Quran Training Center in Kuwait, where Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was the chief guest.

Also present at the event were Abdul Latif Fakir, Third Secretary at the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait, Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani, member of Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Executive Council, officers from the Kuwait Human Rights Commission, former Kuwaiti Parliament member Adel Damki, IPC officials, including Ammai Al Kandari, among others.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that if Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, it will establish Islamic law, introduce a one-stop service system for business licenses, prioritize expatriates in the Ministry of Expatriates' Affairs, and ensure equal laws for everyone.
