Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort will be hosting Bangladesh Regional Food Festival throughout the entire month of September to celebrate the World Tourism Day.

The food festival will highlight authentic local delicacies from all seven divisions of the nation, said a press release.

ATM Ahmed Hossain, director, food and beverage, Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort said: “With this festival, we are bringing delicacies from all across Bangladesh, delving deeper into the inner food culture of each division of the country. We will be preparing the items with only locally sourced ingredients to ensure our foreign and urban guests enjoy the most authentic gastronomic experience.”

There will be biriyani cooked inside bamboo stalks, choijhal gosht, shatkora chicken, koi paturi as well as vegetarian items such as dal with drumstick shoots, bamboo shoot curry, laukhatta, shabji labra and many more, he added.

“Even for desserts, we are introducing unique and lesser-known dishes focusing especially on winter cakes.”

The festival will take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Each weekend will be focused on a different theme that features the authentic delicacies of a particular division.

The first weekend (September 5-6) will be on Dhaka, the second (12-14) on Sylhet and Chittagong and the third (19-21) on Barisal, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Rangpur. The final weekend (26-28) will feature One Bangladesh since World Tourism Day is on September 27.

The buffet dinner will also be complemented with folk music. It will be served at evening between 18:30-22:30 at the hotel’s all-day dining outlet Grandiose Restaurant at Tk3,490 net per person.

BOGO offer is available for select card partners. Guests can also win a couple’s tour to Sundarbans, Cox’s Bazar or Sylhet via raffle draw for each meal purchased.

Since its inception in 2007, Dhaka Regency, a new-generation business category hotel, has been setting lifestyle trends in the capital of Bangladesh with numerous first-time celebrated food festivals and tourism trade-forwarding events.
