34 aspirants to vie for each seat in CU admission test

About 1,66,870 admission seekers will compete for only 4,926 seats at Chittagong University (CU) in the 2019-20 academic session.

This means there are 34 applicants for each seat.

The deadline for submitting application fee ended at 11:59pm on Tuesday.

According to Chittagong University Information Communication Technology (ICT) Cell Director Hanif Siddiqi, the “D” unit has the maximum number of applicants, with 52,970 applicants against 1,157 seats, or 46 applicants per seat.

Among the applicants, 52,870 will vie for 1,214 seats in “A” unit with 44 applicants per seat, 42,004 applicants will compete for 1,221 seats in “B” unit with 35 applicants per seat, and 14,001 will compete for 442 seats in “C” unit with 32 applicants per seat.

Participants will get the chance to correct their submitted information till October 7 by following the instructions mentioned in the circular.

Detailed information about the admission test can be found in the university’s website (http://admission.cu.ac.bd). Seat plans for the test will be available in the website 48 hours before the exam.

The admission test will start with “B” unit on October 27 and end with “B1” and “D1” sub-units on October 31.

D Unit -- Social Science (Combined)

A Unit -- All Science and Biology departments/institutes

C Unit -- Business studies

October 31

B1 (Sub-unit) -- Fine arts, Music, Dramatics

D1 (Sub-unit) -- Physical education and sports science
