Man held with 1.055kg heroin in Chapainawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members arrested an alleged drug trader along with 1.055kg heroin from Barroshia area in Sadar Upazila here on Monday.

The arrested was identified as Mahbub Alam, 45, son of Abdul Latif of Tola in Barroshia area.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab raided the house of Mahbub around 5:30 pm and recovered the drugs, said a press release from Rab-5.

The street value of the recovered heroin is Tk 1.15 crore, it said.
