Archery Brings Three more Golds for Bangladesh

Bangladesh archers won golds in men, women and mixed recurve team events respectively in Pokhara, Nepal today

Bangladesh archers start the day in style when Ruman Shana, Mohammad Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel won the first gold in archery at the 13th South Asian Games after beating Sri Lanka by 5-3 sets in the recurve men's team final in Pokhara, Nepal today.

Women's recurve team consisting Ety Khatun, Mehnaz Akter and Beauty Roy also won gold beating Sri Lanka by straight 6-0 sets.

Later, Ruman and Ety bagged third gold in archery after beating Bhutan in the recurve mixed team final. They beat Sonam Dema and Kinley Tsheeing by 6-2 sets.

Three more finals out of total six team events of archery are scheduled to be held today with Bangladesh favourites to bag the most. 

Adding these three, Bangladesh has now won 10 golds in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games which will end on 10 December.
