Amar Ekushey Book Fair Begins Today

Month-long Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2020 begins today, dedicating this to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of 'Mujib Borsho'.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair, popularly known as Ekushey Boi Mela around 3pm.

This year 873 units were allocated among a total of 560 publications. Out of these, 434 publications were given 698 units at Suhrawardy Udyan while 179 units for 126 ones at Bangla Academy premises.

For the first time, 'Little Mag Chattar' has been made at Suhrawardy Udyan. In the same place, 'Shishu Chattar has also been set up.

In this year's book fair, participating institutions, including Bangla Academy, will sell books at 25 percent commission.
