Education Minister Dipu Moni has urged the political parties not to schedule programs amid the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent exams, started from Monday (Feb 3).

''During the public exams, the parties should not announce any program, which troubles the students,'' she told media after inspecting the exam center at Tejgaon Government Girls’ School in Dhaka on Monday morning.

''No institution can run by confining students. Those institutes, who put the students in sufferings for admit cards, will face stern action,'' the minister warned.

She directed the concerned authorities to take measures to hand over the admit cards early enough for upcoming exams.

She also warned of stern action against the rumor mongers over question paper leak.

This year’s SSC and its equivalent examinations under 10 education boards have begun across the country on Monday (Feb 3).

A total of 2,047,779 students are expected to take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations.

Besides, 342 students will take part in the examination from abroad.

The exams including practical subjects is set to end on Mar 5.
